This Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) invites applications for Diabetes Research Centers (DRCs) designed to support and enhance the national research effort in diabetes, its complications, and related endocrine and metabolic diseases. The program aims to foster multidisciplinary collaboration among investigators by providing shared access to specialized technical resources (research cores) and supporting a Pilot and Feasibility Program (P&F). New Center programs that introduce diverse perspectives, propose unique scientific themes, or offer innovative resources are encouraged. Emphasis will be placed on Center programs that demonstrate enhanced synergies with other NIDDK-funded programs and provide a robust mentoring environment for future diabetes researchers. Eligibility is restricted to domestic entities. Only one application is permitted per institution. Foreign organizations and non-U.S. components of U.S. organizations are not eligible. Foreign components, as defined in the NIH Grants Policy Statement, are not allowed.
