Description
The Cayman Islands Government's Public Works Department requested estimates for safety work boots. Required features included steel or composite toe protection with a 20 kg impact rating; slip, puncture, oil, fuel, heat, and chemical resistance; an 18,000-volt electrical-hazard rating; anti-static or non-conductive properties; a water-resistant membrane; a shock-absorbing heel with 20 Joules of energy absorption; an ergonomic insole with arch support; and ankle support. The procurement required a Cayman Islands trade and business license or equivalent, two references for similar goods procured within the last five years, manufacturer product specifications, responses to procurement-particular questions, and completed submission, reference, and price-breakdown forms. The procurement has been cancelled, and submissions are no longer accepted.
