Description
Thompson Rivers University is seeking one contractor to provide comprehensive fire protection services at its Kamloops and Williams Lake campuses. The scope includes annual inspection, testing, certification, reporting, repair, and preventive maintenance for fire alarm systems, water-based sprinkler systems and backflow preventers, fire hydrants, portable fire extinguishers, gas suppression systems, kitchen hood suppression systems, and emergency lighting, which requires monthly inspection and testing. The contract also includes an initial asset condition assessment and baseline report within 90 calendar days of commencement, validated inventory and deficiency data in searchable PDF and editable Excel formats, scheduled and emergency service response, and authorized repair, replacement, installation, and commissioning work. The intended term is three years with two additional one-year renewal options. Proponents must demonstrate access to appropriately certified fire protection technicians, backflow testers, plumbers, and electricians, and must meet specified insurance and WorkSafeBC requirements.
