Description
The Department of Veterans Affairs requires on-site water sample collection, laboratory analysis, and electronic results management for government-owned medical facilities, clinics, and associated sites in Ohio. Services cover potable water and Legionella testing, including hot and cold water outlets, incoming supplies, primary and secondary disinfectant systems, cooling towers, dental waterlines, and sterile processing systems under VHA Directives 1061 and 1116 and ANSI/AAMI ST108. The contractor must provide labor, materials, equipment, transportation, sample shipping, chain-of-custody documentation, certified laboratory services, and reporting. Required capabilities include Legionella culture testing by a CDC ELITE-certified and ISO 11731-accredited laboratory, on-site pH, temperature, and residual-biocide testing, heterotrophic bacteria testing, monthly and quarterly sterile-processing water panels, routine and non-routine sampling, corrective or post-remediation testing, and a web-based data-management system. The procurement is a five-year firm-fixed-price IDIQ with a stated total contract value of $6,000,000 and a $200,000 not-to-exceed maximum per task order.
