Description
The City of Chula Vista is soliciting a job order contract for varied public-works repair and construction tasks within the City right-of-way. Work may include asphalt pavement placement and repair, cold milling, rubber polymer-modified slurry, aggregate base, curb, gutter, sidewalk, driveway and ADA curb-ramp improvements, traffic signal detection loops, conduits and cabling, traffic control, pavement striping and markings, signs, storm-drain stencils, manhole and survey-well adjustments, tree work, sweeping, and stormwater best-management practices. Work will be issued through task orders and priced using the City's Unit Price Book and the contractor's adjustment factors for normal and other-than-normal working hours. The contract is an indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity arrangement with a guaranteed minimum of $5,000 per task order and a potential maximum of $20,000,000 per contract. The task-order issuance term is 36 months, with total task-order issuance and completion not to exceed five years from contract execution. The project requires prevailing wages, compliance with the City's Project Labor Agreement, appropriate California contractor licensing, and electronic submission of the bid through the designated procurement portal. A performance-and-payment bond capacity letter and an insurance-capacity letter are required with the bid; performance and labor-and-material bonds are required for each task order.
