Description
This Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) solicits applications for the development of next-generation sensors and bioelectronic devices designed to synchronize with brain recordings. The acquired sensor and neural recording data will be utilized to generate novel computational models of behavior in both human and animal subjects. The initiative addresses a recognized gap in quantitative approaches and models for understanding the complexities of behavior in naturalistic settings. The focus is on advancing sensor technology to capture data and synchronize it with simultaneous brain recordings, thereby enabling the construction of sophisticated computational models. Eligibility for this opportunity extends to a wide range of entities, including Alaska Native and Native Hawaiian Serving Institutions, Asian American Native American Pacific Islander Serving Institutions (AANAPISISs), Eligible Agencies of the Federal Government, Faith-based or Community-based Organizations, Hispanic-serving Institutions, Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs), Indian/Native American Tribal Governments (Other than Federally Recognized), Non-domestic (non-U.S.) Entities (Foreign Organizations), Regional Organizations, Tribally Controlled Colleges and Universities (TCCUs), and U.S. Territories or Possessions.
