The fiscal year 2026 (FY26) Spinal Cord Injury Research Program (SCIRP) Clinical Trial Award (CTA) supports the rapid implementation of clinical trials with the potential to have a significant impact on the treatment or management of spinal cord injury (SCI). This funding opportunity includes an Early-Career Partnership Option, allowing for two Principal Investigators (PIs), at least one of whom must be an early-career investigator. Applications must also name at least two SCI community partners to provide advice and consultation throughout the research. The Congressionally Directed Medical Research Programs (CDMRP) expects to fund approximately 2 awards with total cost caps of $4.8 million for a Single PI or $4.96 million for the Early-Career Partnership Option. The maximum period of performance is 4 years. Funding is anticipated to be from FY26 funds, with awards made no later than September 30, 2027.
