This funding opportunity invites applications proposing the use of mouse models for rigorous preclinical testing of drugs and drug combinations for the treatment and prevention of Alzheimer's disease and related dementias (AD/ADRD). The initiative supports the testing of repurposable or investigational drug candidates, including combinations with non-pharmacologic interventions, to establish proof of concept for rational drug repurposing and combination therapy development. Eligible applicants include a wide range of institutions such as Alaska Native and Native Hawaiian Serving Institutions, Asian American Native American Pacific Islander Serving Institutions, eligible agencies of the Federal Government, faith-based or community-based organizations, Hispanic-serving Institutions, Historically Black Colleges and Universities, Indian/Native American Tribal Governments, non-U.S. entities, regional organizations, Tribally Controlled Colleges and Universities, and U.S. territories or possessions.
