Description
The City of Miami Beach is establishing a pool of pre-qualified contractors for future, competitively awarded rehabilitation projects serving income-eligible, owner-occupied residences under the State Housing Initiatives Partnership Program. Potential work may include repairs or improvements needed for safe or sanitary habitation, correction of substantial code violations, structural or systems repairs, additional living space, and disaster mitigation. Project-specific scopes, specifications, schedules, and pricing will be issued later through invitations to quote; prequalification does not guarantee work. Applicants must submit the completed and executed SHIP Program Contractor Pre-Qualification Application with all requested supporting materials. Requirements include applicable Miami-Dade County or Florida contractor licensing, liability insurance of at least $1,000,000 per occurrence and $2,000,000 aggregate, proof of at least $100,000 in bonding capacity, and three residential renovation projects completed within the last five years. The prequalified status is valid for five years from the City's notice of award, subject to continued licensing, insurance, performance, and other eligibility requirements.
