Description
The Centre de services scolaire de l'Energie is soliciting competitive bids for the renovation of ground-floor classrooms at École Félix-Leclerc. The project site is a school facility and the solicitation requires compliance with Quebec construction-contract regulations and, where applicable, the licensing requirements under Quebec's Building Act. Bidders must submit two copies in sealed envelopes and include bid security equal to 10% of the bid amount, either as a certified cheque or bid bond. Bid bonds must remain valid for 45 days after bid opening. At contract signing, performance and payment/materials/services guarantees will be required; each will be 50% of the contract price when provided as a bond or 10% when provided as a certified cheque. Only contractors whose principal place of business is in Quebec will be considered. A site visit is scheduled, and bidders are responsible for selecting their subcontractors.
