Description
The National Research Council Canada requires one research-grade continuous-wave green pump laser, or equivalent, to replace an aging system and operate with an existing Spectra Physics Tsunami HP model 3941C-25HP femtosecond titanium:sapphire laser oscillator. The laser must operate at 532 nm ± 1 nm, provide adjustable output power from 20 W to 21 W, and meet specified beam-quality, TEM00 mode, beam-diameter, ellipticity, divergence, pointing-stability, power-stability, polarization, noise, footprint, beam-height, and mechanical-stability requirements. It must include all necessary power supplies and associated operating hardware. The supplier must provide documented compatibility with the specified oscillator and demonstrate the required oscillator performance, including an 80 MHz repetition rate, output power greater than 2.7 W at 800 nm when pumped at 15 W, specified noise and power-drift limits, and TEM00 beam performance. The requirement includes at least a one-year warranty for operating power supplies and parts and labor, technical support during the warranty period, operating documentation, and remote technical assistance. The notice identifies MKS Spectra-Physics as the pre-identified supplier under a limited-tendering process, while allowing other suppliers to submit statements of capabilities demonstrating that they meet all mandatory requirements.
