Description
San Diego Unified School District is conducting a three-step qualification process for contractors supporting lease-leaseback construction projects. Step I requires standard and supplemental prequalification for lease-leaseback work; prequalified firms are invited to submit Statements of Qualifications in Step II, with optional interviews in Step III. The District will establish Group K for projects with estimated values at or below $32,000,000 and Group L for projects at or above $32,000,001, then solicit proposals for specific projects through subsequent Requests for Proposals. The qualification pools will be maintained for two years, with two optional one-year extensions. Contractors must hold a current Class B California contractor's license, maintain current California Department of Industrial Relations registration, maintain a full-service office within 75 miles of the District's central office, and meet the supplemental lease-leaseback prequalification requirements. Lease-leaseback projects may require the contractor to finance part of construction, construct improvements on District property, and lease completed facilities back to the District. The incoming results document confirms that prequalified firms were invited to submit SOQs and identifies the resulting contract number as LB27-0122-32-00-00.
