Description
The Town seeks a communications consultant to implement its public communications plan and support municipal transparency and community engagement. Work includes producing a monthly community e-newsletter; managing Facebook, Instagram, and the Let's Talk Basalt portal; creating graphic design, photography, flyers, posters, and print advertisements; drafting press releases and assisting with media inquiries; and developing and administering community surveys. Key materials must be translated into Spanish. The consultant will coordinate with the Town Manager and department heads, and public communications require the Town Manager’s final review and approval. Proposals must include firm and team experience, at least three representative municipal or public-sector communications projects, verifiable client references with contact details, a technical approach, and a fee proposal using the Cost for Services matrix in Attachment A. The proposal is limited to fewer than 25 pages and 10 MB and must be submitted as a single PDF. The solicitation contains conflicting submission deadlines: the schedule states November 30, 2026, while the detailed submission instructions state December 15, 2026; confirm the controlling deadline with the Town.
