Description
Double Island Fire Department is requesting qualifications from architecture firms to provide professional design services for replacing Fire Station #1 and repairing or renovating Fire Station #2 following hurricane damage. Required capabilities include facility programming, needs assessment, space planning, site evaluation, code compliance, schematic and detailed design, engineering coordination, progress design sets, interior design and FF&E coordination, permitting support, and final signed and sealed architectural plans. The selected firm will also assist with bid document preparation, bid meetings, bidder inquiries, construction administration, construction observation, progress updates, as-built drawings, punch-list activities, and closeout. Respondents must provide firm history, personnel resumes, prior public or institutional project experience, photographs and descriptions of similar projects, and evidence of North Carolina-licensed architectural and structural engineering personnel. The solicitation states that at least three printed and bound copies are required and that the selected firm must begin services within ten working days after receiving a notice to proceed.
