Description
This solicitation seeks qualified individuals or firms to provide investigative services for the Rhode Island Department of Education (RIDE), Rhode Island College (RIC), and the Community College of Rhode Island (CCRI). The services will encompass investigations related to educator misconduct, human resource claims, and Institutional Equity matters aligned with Nondiscrimination and Title IX compliance. For RIDE, selected vendors will review misconduct reports, conduct investigations, interview parties, collaborate with law enforcement and legal entities, maintain investigative proficiency, and produce comprehensive reports. Minimum qualifications include a Bachelor's degree and relevant investigative experience, with a background check required prior to award. For RIC and CCRI, services include conducting impartial investigations into complaints of harassment, discrimination, sexual misconduct, and Title IX violations. This involves gathering evidence, interviewing parties, producing draft and final reports, and potentially serving as a hearing chair or decision-maker. Investigators must possess trauma-informed and culturally responsive experience, with a preference for Title IX certification. The contract may be amended to include other state agencies.
