Description
Ohio Deaf and Blind Education Services seeks a contractor to inspect and replace the existing milk cooler evaporator with a compatible commercial unit. The work includes equipment selection and approval, labor, materials, delivery, removal and disposal of the existing evaporator, installation, refrigerant and electrical connections, startup, testing, and cleanup. The contractor must verify the system configuration and cooling requirements, coordinate work to limit disruption, and obtain approval before performing work outside the stated scope. The proposal must provide a lump-sum price, equipment specifications, delivery lead time, anticipated cooler downtime, installation duration, warranty terms, and any exclusions. It must also include a separately priced alternate with supporting findings if inspection indicates that a complete refrigeration system replacement is needed. Closeout includes operating instructions, maintenance recommendations, manuals, model and serial numbers, warranty documents, startup results, and staff instruction. The scope specifies a minimum one-year workmanship warranty and a minimum 24-hour temperature record after stabilization.
