Description
PHARA Community Services is soliciting bids to modernize one hydraulic passenger elevator and one geared traction passenger elevator at PHARA Westwinds Apartments. The work includes removal and replacement of elevator equipment, controllers, wiring, hydraulic equipment, door operators, elevator fixtures, cab interiors, emergency communications, standby-power provisions, pit equipment, safety features, electrical upgrades, fire-alarm devices and programming, machine-room heating and cooling, restoration, firestopping, cleaning, testing, commissioning, and disposal of replaced equipment. Either an elevator contractor or a general contractor may bid directly, but the successful bidder is responsible for engaging and managing all subcontractors necessary to complete the project. The contractor must coordinate the work, maintain elevator and fire-alarm service during construction, complete required inspections and code testing, and provide the required bid schedules and agreement to bond. Addendum 3 extends the closing deadline to October 20, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. EDT. The estimated contract period is 60 months.
