Description
The Town of Davie is soliciting bids for construction improvements on SW 61st Avenue between Griffin Road and Stirling Road. The work includes two traffic-calming island devices, ADA-compliant sidewalks and ramps with detectable warning surfaces, two raised signalized mid-block crosswalks, concrete curb and gutter, pavement milling and asphalt paving, brick median pavers, pavement markings, signage, solar-powered rectangular rapid flashing beacon assemblies, grading and sodding of swales, maintenance of traffic, stormwater pollution prevention measures, site preparation, restoration, permits, testing, and certified as-built record drawings. The estimated project budget is $215,000. Bidders must hold either a Florida Certified General Contractor License or a Certified Underground Utility and Excavation Contractor License, with the latter also requiring three verifiable projects of similar size and scope within the last three years. A 5% bid bond is required with the bid; the recommended awardee must provide 100% payment and performance bonds. Substantial completion is required within 90 calendar days after receipt of the Notice to Proceed, followed by final completion within 30 calendar days.
