Description
The City of Palo Alto is seeking a contractor to replenish and repair the surface of the Baylands Trail, a raised trail within the Baylands Nature Preserve. The project involves adding four 4-inch layers of aggregate, totaling at least 12 inches, to the existing 12.5-foot-wide trail, resulting in a path width of about 9 feet. The work will extend from the far side of the access path to the Lucy Evans Baylands Interpretive Nature Center to the western edge of Embarcadero Road, roughly 250 feet. The project is intended to address seasonal flooding and weather impacts. The work will be performed by a small crew of approximately two members using small construction equipment and hand tools only.
