Description
The Navy is soliciting on a sole-source basis for repair of 8 PREAMP, MAS units used on P-8 aircraft (part number 5798-8000-001; NIIN 015855400). The work includes inspection, component repair or replacement, reassembly, testing, and return of each unit to Ready for Issue condition. The contractor must provide the necessary facility, labor, materials, parts, and test and tooling equipment. Repairs must be completed within a 150-day turnaround after receipt, and the contractor must state its monthly throughput capacity. The solicitation identifies Undersea Sensor Systems Inc. as the original equipment manufacturer and only known source; no drawings or data are available to the government. The contractor must perform the work at the repair facility identified in its response, maintain a compliant quality system and calibration system, and follow the specified configuration-management, parts-control, inspection, storage, and packaging requirements.
