Description
This Advance Procurement Notice concerns the anticipated replacement of the existing Airfield Lighting Power Centre at 4 Wing Cold Lake. The future contract is expected to include civil and site preparation work; concrete pads, slabs, and footings; extension of airfield lighting circuits; design and construction of a new approximately 100 m² prefabricated steel facility; equipment, controls, lighting-control software, generator, fuel system, precast concrete manholes, airfield series lighting cable, and concrete-encased direct-buried electrical services. Associated airfield electrical work must be performed by journeyperson airfield electricians in accordance with CSA Z463-18. After the new facility and power systems are installed and commissioned, the contractor is expected to remove the existing approximately 63.7 m² building, foundation, fuel tank, and power systems. The anticipated contract estimate is $11,100,000, subject to approval to proceed. This notice is not a bid solicitation or request for proposals; the subsequent solicitation is anticipated to be posted in fall 2026. The anticipated security requirement is Designated Organization Screening (DOS), and prospective bidders may initiate the applicable sponsorship process before the solicitation is advertised.
