Description
The City of Gadsden is soliciting prequalification proposals and sealed bids from qualified general contractors for the Gadsden Athletic Center Project, GAC Fieldhouse Package. Contractors must be registered with Robins & Morton, qualify as bidders, comply with Alabama general-contractor licensing requirements, and include a current license number with the bid. The bid requires either a cashier's check drawn on an Alabama bank or a bid bond from an authorized surety, in an amount equal to the lesser of 5% of the bid or $10,000. The successful bidder must provide performance and payment bonding and evidence of insurance within 10 days after award. A nonrequired pre-bid conference will be held to review the project and answer questions.
