Description
The Royal Canadian Mounted Police requires annual inspection, testing, maintenance, condition assessment, reporting, and authorized minor corrective repairs for eight standby generators at facilities in Cambridge Bay, Kinngait, Clyde River, Gjoa Haven, Qikiqtarjuaq, Taloyoak, and Iqaluit. Work must comply with CSA C282-19, manufacturer recommendations, applicable codes and regulations, and industry best practices. The contractor must provide qualified personnel, supervision, tools, equipment, instruments, consumables, materials, transportation, and travel arrangements. The scope includes verifying generator operation and automatic/manual functions; completing annual inspections and testing, including two-hour full-load tests and infrared thermal imaging; documenting deficiencies, failures, safety concerns, operating conditions, and maintenance activities; performing authorized minor repairs; and providing service reports within 10 business days after each site visit. Deficiency reports and quotations may also be required within five business days of request. The contract is limited to firms registered on the Inuit Firm Registry and requires an Inuit Benefits Plan addressing Inuit employment, Inuit ownership, and business location in the Nunavut Settlement Area. The solicitation requires Facility Level 2 access with escort, commercial general liability insurance of at least CAD 2,000,000, and English-language work and deliverables.
