Description
Douglas County Library System is seeking Internet access proposals for two branch locations: a main library requiring a 500 Mbps to 2 Gbps lit-fiber solution and a Lake Tahoe branch requiring 100 Mbps to 1 Gbps service, with lit fiber, cable modem, or SPOTPN solutions considered. Bidders may propose service for one or both locations. Services must terminate at the building demarcation point, generally the MDF, and proposals should identify the included demarcation equipment and handoff configuration. Proposals must itemize monthly recurring charges, non-recurring charges, special construction charges, taxes, and surcharges, with no undisclosed additional charges. Providers may also offer optional static IPs, router leases, and related services. Contracted-service proposals should include 36-month and 60-month pricing; month-to-month service will also be considered. Service is needed beginning July 1, 2027, and proposals must address bandwidth increases, potential early termination if a location closes, price stability, and compliance with applicable FCC supply-chain restrictions and lowest-corresponding-price requirements.
