Description
The Defense Logistics Agency seeks four Grade A structural steel plates, each specified as 0.250 inches thick, 96 inches wide, and 396 inches long. The material must meet MIL-S-22698 and American Bureau of Shipping requirements, with no substitute material allowed; it must be produced by an approved steel mill. Suppliers must meet the Qualified Suppliers List for Distributors requirement, and the solicitation requires an ABS surveyor’s endorsement on material certificates. The plates require continuous identification markings and compliant packaging. A mill-material Certificate of Quality Compliance is required with each shipment, along with the specified metal certification data. Origin inspection applies, and the manufacturer’s inspection system must comply at minimum with SAE AS9003 or ISO 9001 tailored to SAE AS9003 requirements.
