Description
Lennox School District seeks proposals for managed, dedicated single-mode fiber-optic connectivity between its district office and six sites: five schools and one non-instructional facility. WAN service must provide 10 Gbps connectivity to each site, expandable to 20 Gbps, with installation, required optic modules compatible with the District's Cisco Meraki switch, 99.99% uptime on a 24/7 basis, quality-of-service capabilities, rate limiting and prioritization, no throttling, and repair initiation within four hours with a maximum 24-hour repair time. The vendor is responsible for required rights-of-way, permits, construction, and maintenance of installed equipment. The District also requests a minimum 10 Gbps Internet connection at the district office, with an option for an additional 10 Gbps without new construction or circuits. Proposals may cover WAN, Internet access, or both; the District intends to award two separate contracts but may select one vendor for both. The WAN pricing options include a 60-month term, while Internet access pricing includes a 36-month base term with two one-year voluntary extensions and a separate 60-month option. The project is contingent on E-Rate funding, and respondents must provide transition information where applicable, company and service experience, E-Rate and California Teleconnect Fund information, and customer references.
