Description
Greenville County is soliciting bids for construction improvements on Suffolk Drive in the Richmond Hills subdivision. The work includes removing portions of the existing drainage system, asphalt pavement, concrete driveways, fences, gates, cinder block walls, selected trees, and other demolition items; installing approximately 15-inch, 24-inch, and 30-inch storm drainage pipe, a 29-by-42-inch aluminum arch pipe, and three yard inlets; and backfilling and compacting new pipe trenches. The contractor must replace or reinstall asphalt roadways and driveways, chain-link and wood privacy fences, gates, and mailboxes. Site stabilization includes silt fencing, inlet protection, Class C riprap with geotextile fabric, fine grading, grassing or pine straw, and related erosion-control measures. The bid requires a completed electronic pricing proposal and bid form, qualifications information, references, licensing or certifications, a County substitute W-9, required questionnaire responses, and a 5% bid bond. A performance and payment bond equal to the total bid price is required after award. Substantial completion is required within 90 days after the notice to proceed, with final punch-list and closeout work within 15 days thereafter.
