Description
DeSoto County is soliciting sealed or electronic bids for construction of 7.037 miles of roadway overlay on Holly Springs Road, Nesbit Road, and Nail Road under State Aid Program Project No. SAP-17(18)M. The principal work includes mobilization, asphalt pavement removal, granular material placement, asphalt paving, cold milling of bituminous pavement, maintenance of traffic, temporary and thermoplastic striping, pavement legends, raised pavement markers, and reflectorized traffic signs and object markers. The contract time is 54 working days, and award will be made to the lowest qualified bidder based on published quantities. Bidders must comply with Mississippi licensing requirements; bids exceeding $50,000 require a Certificate of Responsibility or the required statement. A certified check or bid bond equal to 5% of the total bid must accompany each proposal. Complete bid books are required, and the work must comply with the latest Mississippi Standard Specifications for State Aid Road and Bridge Construction.
