Description
Correctional Service Canada requires preventive maintenance services for medical refrigerators and freezers used to store medications at its Quebec-region institutions. The contractor must provide qualified labor, expertise, products, accessories, tools, equipment, transportation, inspections, calibration, and certification to meet Accreditation Canada criteria and manufacturer recommendations. Preventive maintenance is generally required twice annually, with visits scheduled during weekday business hours, and service calls must be answered within one business day for equipment breakdowns or malfunctions. The contractor must provide maintenance reports, test results, calibration certificates, and repair cost estimates when applicable. Mandatory technical requirements include at least two years of recent experience inspecting, calibrating, and certifying medical or pharmacy refrigerators and freezers, plus a refrigeration contractor's license issued by the Régie du bâtiment du Québec.
