Description
Cascade County Public Works is soliciting construction bids to repair a road slide on Evans-Riceville Road. The work includes excavation of poorly compacted road subgrade, reconstruction with structural fill and geogrid, crushed gravel base and MDT Type A Grade 2 surfacing with magnesium chloride treatment, installation of geotextile separation fabric and drainage rock, 6-inch HDPE drain pipe, ditch and drainage improvements, and Class 1 riprap. The project also includes regrading and revegetating the slope using geocell panels, topsoil, hydroseeding, and an erosion-control blanket. Contractors must comply with Montana prevailing-wage requirements, contractor registration requirements, applicable permits, quality-control testing, and specified insurance and bonding requirements. The contract provides for substantial completion within 30 days after the Contract Times commence, with liquidated damages of $1,000 per day for delayed substantial completion and $500 per day for delayed final completion.
