Description
The County of Kaua'i is soliciting sealed electronic bids for construction of the Pikake Street-Nuhou Street roundabout. The work includes furnishing and paying for all required materials, labor, transportation, tools, equipment, machinery, and services; demolition and removal of existing asphalt pavement and concrete; grading and earthwork; new asphalt pavement; a stamped-concrete mountable truck apron; curbs, gutters, sidewalks, curb ramps, and a raised concrete splitter island; striping; and signage. The bid schedule includes a $300,000 allowance for artwork or a sculpture at the roundabout center. Bidders must hold a Hawai'i State Contractor's License Type A or Specialty Licenses C-3 and C-17 before submitting bids. Electronic sealed bids must be submitted through the Public Purchase System, and bidders must register as Public Purchase vendors for the Hawaii Region and Kauai County Agency.
