Description
The Village of Heyworth has received an Illinois Transportation Enhancement Program (ITEP) award for the Heyworth Centennial Shared Use Path project. The project includes construction of a 12-foot wide, 6,000-foot long (1.14 miles) shared use path along US Route 136, with associated earthwork, storm sewer, retaining walls, security fencing, signage, crosswalks, ADA tactile warnings, benches, drinking fountains, and rectangular rapid flash beacons. The project also includes design engineering, construction engineering, and construction layout and staking. The total estimated cost is $1,498,562 with federal share of $1,198,849.60 and local share of $299,712.40.
