Description
The City of Newport News is seeking a contractor to furnish, install, configure, calibrate, test, and document three replacement submersible level transducers at its closed landfill. The specified equipment is Dwyer/Mercoid Model SBLTX-5-470 or an approved equal, with a 0–5 psi range, 470-foot shielded and vented cable, 4–20 mA two-wire output, 10–28 VDC power, stainless-steel construction, compatible wetted materials, and applicable intrinsic-safety approval. Units must be new, unused, current production, and covered by the manufacturer's standard warranty. The work includes removing the existing transducers, installing compatible supports and incidental materials, verifying the monitoring loops and receiving equipment, calibrating or verifying each transmitter, and testing the complete signal path. The contractor must provide technical product information, an approved-equal comparison when applicable, installation and testing documentation, model and serial numbers, warranty information, calibration or verification records, startup results, and final closeout documentation. The project must be completed within 60 calendar days after issuance of the purchase order or notice to proceed, with closeout documentation due within 10 calendar days after field installation.
