Chesterfield County is soliciting qualified pharmacies to provide prescription medications, including long-acting depot antipsychotic medicines, over-the-counter medications, syringes, needles, and other miscellaneous medical supplies for the County Jail, Juvenile Detention Home, and Chesterfield Community Services Board. The County may award to one or multiple firms. Required capabilities include prescription intake and fulfillment, emergency and after-hours pharmacist coverage, same-day or next-day delivery, unit-dose blister packaging, medication returns and credits, formulary support, drug-interaction and allergy monitoring, detailed billing and utilization reporting, medication administration record support, medication carts, staff training, quarterly quality-assurance visits, audits, and compliance with Virginia and federal pharmacy regulations. CSB services also include Medicaid billing for long-acting injections, SureScripts compatibility, Clozapine dispensing, and weekly or monthly bubble-pack or bottle dispensing. Proposals must address qualifications, service approach, staffing, key personnel, references, billing procedures, and applicable security and technology requirements.
