Description
Carson City seeks a contractor for a horizontal construction project at the Riverview Trailhead and Korean War Veterans Memorial. Work includes demolishing and removing the existing parking area; protecting existing monuments; constructing an upgraded parking area, concrete picnic areas and walkways; installing a prefabricated restroom and shade structure; and connecting the site to existing walking trails. The project also includes site utilities, re-vegetation, landscaping, and preparation and execution of a Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP). The bid package includes plans, technical specifications, geotechnical information, and federal and state prevailing-wage requirements. The contractor must perform at least 50% of the bid amount and may not subcontract more than 50%. The corrected engineer’s estimate is $1,370,409. The project is federally funded, and the bid requires a bid guarantee of at least 5% of the base bid.
