Description
The City of Danville is soliciting bids for comprehensive improvements to the Curb Market parking lot. The work includes removal and disposal of approximately 4,000 square yards of existing asphalt; evaluation, reconditioning, grading, and compaction of the aggregate base; localized undercutting and replacement of unsuitable subgrade and aggregate base; installation of new asphalt pavement, pavement markings, concrete wheel stops, and related parking appurtenances; and adjustment of site and drainage features as needed. The project also includes approximately 635 linear feet of six-foot-high black vinyl-coated chain-link fencing, one four-foot pedestrian gate, one 12-foot manual cantilever sliding gate, and one 20-foot manual cantilever sliding gate, along with traffic and pedestrian control, utility protection, restoration, cleanup, and incidental work. The contractor must provide all labor, materials, equipment, supervision, and services. A 5% bid bond and 100% performance and payment bonds are required. The work must be completed within 60 consecutive calendar days from the Notice to Proceed.
