Description
The project involves electrical system upgrades and installation of new high-voltage transformer equipment at the University of California, San Diego campus in La Jolla. Work includes grading, new concrete pad construction, installation of two 1.2MW solid-state transformers interconnected to existing 12 kV switches, minor trenching for underground electrical conduit, and power distribution upgrades. Laboratory work will also be conducted at the DERConnect and Center for Energy Research facilities using existing hardware test equipment and research space.
