Description
The County of Sussex is soliciting a vendor to supply and deliver red-dye ultra-low-sulfur diesel fuel to various County fueling sites on an as-needed basis. The scope includes approximately 150,000 gallons of standard diesel fuel and 175,000 gallons of diesel fuel with winter additive over the potential three-year contract term. Winter additive is required from November 1 through March 31, and deliveries generally must be made within 24 hours of notification or through weekly automatic delivery arrangements. Fuel must comply with applicable federal and State regulations and ASTM D439, with pricing based on the OPIS Newark Low Posting for dyed diesel plus or minus the bidder's firm adjustment. Deliveries are FOB destination to County storage tanks, must fill tanks to safe operating capacity, include metered trucks and delivery tickets, and require advance notification to Fleet Management. The contract has a one-year initial term with two additional one-year renewal periods at the County's option. Required insurance includes workers' compensation and employer's liability, general liability, and automobile liability coverage. The solicitation requires the provided pricing proposal and required forms, and permits electronic portal submission or sealed mail/hand delivery.
