Description
Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada requires an electrical contractor to provide as-needed services for approximately 20 buildings at the Swift Current Research and Development Centre, including the Conway and South Farms. The scope includes troubleshooting and repairs, emergency and urgent response, preventive and legislated maintenance, equipment installation and decommissioning, lighting and power systems, laboratory and controlled-environment equipment, transformers and overhead or underground systems, motor-control centres, variable-speed drives, ventilation and exhaust systems, electric motors, ground-fault equipment, and laboratory equipment. Fire alarm systems and 27.7 kV transformer and feeder maintenance are excluded. The contractor must provide licensed electricians, with at least one Saskatchewan journeyperson certificate or interprovincial Red Seal certificate submitted with the offer. Routine work must generally begin within three to five business days of a task authorization, time-sensitive work within 24 hours, and emergency work within two hours, including 24/7 availability. Personnel requiring access to sensitive work sites must hold valid Reliability Status approved by Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada. The contract uses task authorizations, requires prior approval for subcontracting, and includes a one-year initial term with three additional one-year option periods.
