Description
The Florida School for the Deaf and the Blind seeks a qualified, properly licensed contractor to replace two campus transformers. The work includes removing and disposing of existing TX-B and TX-E transformers; supplying and installing one 300 KVA, three-phase, pad-mounted transformer behind Wilson Music Center, Building 50; and supplying and installing one 500 KVA, three-phase, pad-mounted transformer near Settles Gymnasium, Building 17. The contractor must provide all labor, materials, equipment, permits, rental equipment if needed, and acceptance testing in accordance with National Electrical Testing Association guidelines. Testing and switch-over must be scheduled on a Saturday or Sunday because of power interruptions. The response must include vendor qualifications, current and past project information, a project schedule, required registrations and licenses, insurance documentation, certifications, a location map, and the completed solicitation appendices. The contract has a maximum value of $100,000, is not renewable, and has an estimated effective date of November 27, 2026, or the date of execution, whichever is later, with an expiration date of June 18, 2027 and substantial completion required by May 18, 2027.
