Description
The University of Manitoba is soliciting a stipulated-price tender from pre-qualified general contractors for the complete interior renovation and fit-up of Rooms 104 and 106 in the Isbister Building at the Fort Garry Campus. The work includes selective demolition; new partitions, gypsum board, doors, windows, millwork, countertops, flooring, carpeting, painting, roller shades, and glazing; and coordination of owner-supplied furniture. Mechanical and electrical work includes new plumbing connections and fixtures, digital dual-duct terminal units and controls, smudging exhaust systems and louvers, ductwork, lighting, receptacles, emergency lighting, fire-alarm modifications, and related commissioning and testing. The project also includes Type 2 glove-bag asbestos abatement for asbestos-containing elbow parging on piping and window sealant in Rooms 104, 106, 106A, and 106B. Bids must include the required tender forms, contractor notification and acknowledgment, bid bond and consent of surety, and applicable alternate or unit-price forms. The work is to be completed by March 19, 2027.
