Description
The City of Redondo Beach is seeking broker/dealers for inclusion on an Approved List to invest proceeds from its $93,350,000 Measure FP General Obligation Bond measure. The bonds will fund reconstruction of two fire stations and modernization of police facilities. Selected firms will participate in competitive shopping aligned with the bond draw schedule, provide investments permitted under the City's Investment Policy, execute securities transactions, and potentially support future portfolio rebalancing. Respondents must complete the broker/dealer questionnaire and provide supporting information concerning company and representative qualifications, California licensing, Federal Reserve and FINRA status, SEC Rule 15c3-1 compliance, regulatory history, public-sector and bond-proceeds investment experience, trading and compliance processes, research and customer services, references, transaction reports and confirmations, FOCUS and audited financial statements, and a trading resolution. Selected broker/dealers must also complete and sign the certificate acknowledging receipt and understanding of the City's Investment Policy. Firms transacting with the City will not receive an exemption or exception under the Municipal Advisor Rule because the City will not use an independent registered municipal advisor.
