Description
This is a Notice of Intent to award a sole-source, firm-fixed-price contract to Carefusion Solutions, LLC for maintenance services on BD Pyxis medication equipment and software for the VA Veterans Integrated Service Network (VISN) 23. This consolidation is intended to streamline support for existing BD Pyxis systems. The scope of work includes providing all labor, transportation, tools, parts, materials, and expertise necessary for repair services and annual preventive maintenance of the BD Pyxis equipment, hardware, software, and databases. This includes remote support services on a 24/7/365 basis, on-site repairs, and the adjustment or replacement of non-consumable parts. The contractor will also be responsible for providing access to new software/firmware versions, updates, enhancements, bug fixes, and patches, along with all necessary third-party licensing. The contractor must ensure all work complies with current manufacturer specifications and relevant industry standards, including NFPA-99 and OSHA. Services will be performed at various VA facilities within VISN 23, with specific locations including Omaha, Lincoln, Grand Island, Norfolk, Papillion, Minneapolis, Ramsey, Superior, and Eagan. The contractor must adhere to facility check-in requirements, provide detailed service reports within 72 hours of completion, and manage waste disposal. Security requirements include compliance with VHA security protocols and potentially obtaining Site-to-Site VPN access. Hardware and workstation requirements are also specified, emphasizing major brand manufacturers and current operating systems.
