Description
Broome County Department of Social Services invites applications from childcare providers licensed or registered by the New York State Office of Children and Family Services to participate in the New York State First Three Child Care Expansion Pilot. Selected providers will enter into agreements to make approved childcare slots available to eligible Broome County children and families during the three-year pilot period. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis, with awards subject to eligibility requirements and available funding. Providers must use an OCFS-approved Child Care Management System for attendance tracking, enrollment reporting, and related program reporting; accept Child Care Assistance Program families; remain in good standing; and identify their licensed capacity, available slots, operating hours, accreditations, enhanced-care capabilities, and compliance history. Contracted seats are reimbursed at applicable OCFS market rates based on provider type and geographic region. The application period remains open until February 28, 2029, or until funding is exhausted, whichever occurs first. Insurance is not required at this time but may be required before entering into an agreement.
