Description
This single-prime general contracting project will create a two-room medical cleanroom suite and adjacent workroom at Franklin Medical Center. The scope includes selective demolition and construction of modular cleanroom walls, ceilings, flooring, doors, glazing, pass-through equipment, lighting, electrical systems, plumbing, fire protection, mechanical systems, HEPA-filtered fan filter units, air-handling equipment, controls, ductwork, and related finishes. The cleanrooms are designed for ISO 7 and ISO 8 classifications and include required pressure, temperature, humidity, filtration, and airflow criteria. The contractor must coordinate subcontractors and trades, provide temporary healthcare-rated barriers and continuous HEPA filtration, maintain the occupied facility, comply with correctional-facility security procedures, prevailing-wage requirements, domestic-steel requirements, and a 5% EDGE participation goal. The contractor must also provide coordination drawings, commissioning, testing and certification of the cleanrooms and biosafety cabinet, testing and balancing, and required project closeout documentation. The estimated contract value is $750,000, and substantial completion is required within 215 consecutive days after the Notice to Proceed.
