Description
The City of Palm Springs Fire Department is seeking a contractor to provide vegetation management services for 14 city-owned lots encompassing approximately 101 acres within the city's Fire Severity Zone. The work includes furnishing labor, supervision, vehicles, equipment, and supplies; cutting or reducing grass and native brush; trimming trees and shrubs; removing dead vegetation; maintaining defensible space around structures and roadways; controlling traffic; and legally removing debris. The contractor must recycle green waste at a city-approved reclamation site, submit monthly recycling reports, provide required safety equipment and traffic-control devices, and maintain appropriate contractor and business licenses, including a current Class C-27 Contractor License. The contract term is three years with two one-year renewal options at the City's discretion. Work is scheduled to commence in April 2028 and continue annually through the contract term, with specified seasonal work hours and regular coordination with the Fire Marshal or designee.
