Description
Colombia's Civil Aviation Authority is seeking consultancy services for two major airport projects. The first project, EDmax, involves the expansion of El Dorado International Airport in Bogota to increase its capacity from 40 million to 60 million passengers per year. The expansion includes new infrastructure, improvements to immigration and passenger processing areas, security checkpoints, and a 25% expansion of the cargo terminal. The second project, CACI, is for the construction of a new airport in Cartagena de Indias, located in Bayunca, Bolivar department, approximately 24 km from the historic center. The new airport will have a capacity of 11 million passengers per year and a useful life of 30 years, including runways, taxiways, a platform, passenger terminal, cargo terminal, and support facilities. Both consultancy contracts are expected to be signed in November, with the Cartagena contract expiring in August 2025 and the El Dorado contract in September 2025.
