Description
Mohawk Medbuy Corporation is issuing a Request for Supplier Qualifications on behalf of The Ottawa Hospital to prequalify specialty electrical contractors for construction and renovation services supporting Electrical Resiliency Upgrades at the General Campus. The first stage evaluates contractor qualifications, company and personnel experience, methodology, health and safety, infection prevention and control, and workplace safety performance; shortlisted contractors may be invited to bid in a second-stage competitive process. The anticipated second-stage project has an estimated value of up to $13,500,000 and may include new medium-voltage loops, replacement of medium- and low-voltage switchgear and transformers, electrical distribution upgrades, arc-flash mitigation, testing, commissioning, documentation, and work sequencing intended to maintain continuity in an occupied acute-care hospital. The submission requires the Proposal Submission Form, WSIB clearance certificate, insurer letter, financial institution letter, bonding letter, company and personnel experience information, methodology and approach, health and safety/IPAC materials, and a current Workplace Injury Safety Report. The RFSQ does not itself require bid or performance bonds; those may be required during the second-stage process. The estimated contract period is 60 months.
