Description
Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL) is offering a technology licensing opportunity for DC Recruiter, a novel broad-spectrum immune enhancer. This technology utilizes a self-assembling peptide nanofiber to recruit and activate dendritic cells, aiming to stimulate an early immune response regardless of the infecting agent. It is designed to address the unmet need for rapid, broadly effective immune stimulation, particularly in situations where the specific pathogen is unknown or diagnosis is delayed. The key advantages of DC Recruiter include its potential for faster response after exposure, broad pathogen-agnostic action, targeting of dendritic cells to alert and activate the immune system, and utility in outbreak, emergency, or high-risk settings. The technology is also designed with a needle-free, spray-friendly concept for easier administration and broader accessibility. Potential market applications span Infectious Disease Prevention, Outbreak Response and Public Health, Defense and National Security, Consumer Health and Wellness, Pharmaceuticals and Biotech, and Emergency Preparedness.
