Description
The Transportation Security Administration is conducting market research for an in-house, computer-based or digital color vision testing solution to be administered by TSA personnel during pre-employment screening. The desired platform should be scientifically validated, self-administered and proctored, provide an immediate pass/fail result without diagnostic data, operate on standard or vendor-provided hardware, and support secure handling of test data. Section 508 accessibility, hardware and software compatibility, calibration, IT security, data privacy, and potential FedRAMP requirements are relevant considerations. TSA anticipates approximately 26,825 medical exams in the next fiscal year and potential deployment across approximately 450 locations, possibly beginning with a 5- to 10-site pilot. Respondents are asked to describe their solution, validation evidence, federal users, pricing model and rough-order-of-magnitude cost, warranty, support, training, pilot approach, security compliance, and recommendations for a future solicitation. Responses are limited to eight pages and may be submitted in Microsoft Word or Adobe PDF format.
